OUTAGE OF TEDZANI I, II AND III FOR INSPECTION OF FINE SCREENS AT TEDZANI INTAKE
The Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited (EGENCO) wishes to inform the public and all stakeholders that it has planned to conduct Fine Screens inspection at Tedzani intake on Sunday, 13th March 2022 from 8:00 Hrs to 11:00 hrs.
As such, Tedzani I, II, and III (82 megawatts) will not be available to the national grid during the Fine Screen inspection period.
We shall ensure that the works are done with utmost speed and efficiency in order to minimize the impact of the outage and inconvenience to the public.
We wish to further state that generation of electricity at Tedzani IV, Wovwe, and Nkula Power Stations shall continue. Diesel generators shall also be in use to supplement the available hydropower stations to minimize the impact of the outage and inconvenience to the public.
