EGENCO WINS AWARD OF BEST OVERALL EXHIBITOR AT THE MALAWI INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR
The Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited has been recognized as the Best Overall Exhibitor at the 33rd Malawi International Trade Fair (MITF) for exemplifying excellence in its participation at the Fair.
Presenting the award to EGENCO at the MITF business networking dinner that took place at Mount Soche Hotels on Friday, May 19, Ministry of Trade & Industry Director, Limbikani Kachiwaya commended EGENCO for its creativity, professionalism and organization in its participation at the Fair.
“The recipient of the Overall Exhibitor Award has not only met but exceeded the expectations of event organizers, industry professionals and attendees. Their exhibition space stands out as a showcase of creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail, leaving a lasting impression on all who visit.” Said Kachiwaya.
Kachiwaya further commended EGENCO’s staff members at the Trade Fair for embodying professionalism, product knowledge, and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.
Among many things, EGENCO’s pavilion at the Trade Fair is showcasing the Company’s work of generating electricity through power generation models. It is also using virtual reality technology to offer virtual tours of its power stations.
The 33rd Malawi International Trade Fair is a yearly event aimed at promoting trade through exhibition and Business-to-Business meetings and takes place at the Chichiri Trade Fair Grounds in Blantyre, Malawi. This year’s Fair which runs from 17 to 26 May 2023 is being held under the theme Rebalancing Malawi’s Trade through Industrialization.
Recently, EGENCO Engineers were recognized by His Excellency the State President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera for restoring Kapichira Power Station. EGENCO has also been recognized by Malawi’s Ministry of Finance as the Number One State Owned Enterprise in the Trading Sector.
