EGENCO BOARD PARTICIPATES IN CORPORATE GOVERNANCE WORKSHOP
EGENCO Board, alongside Executive Management participated in a three-day Corporate Governance Workshop in Mangochi organized by the Comptroller of Statutory Corporations aimed orienting newly appointed board members of parastatals and other government agencies.
Controller of Statutory Corporations, Peter Simbani, reminded the board members of the importance of their role in overseeing government institutions.
“Your duty as Board members is to play an oversight role of your institutions as well as ensuring that the resources available are utilized efficiently to achieve the best value,” said Simbani.
The workshop, which was conducted in two cohorts, took place from 22 to 26 July at Sunbird Nkopola Hotels & Resorts.
