EGENCO BASIC ICT TRAINING FOR IMIS BEGINS

The Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited (EGENCO) is conducting a basic ICT training program aimed at providing its staff members with necessary ICT skills in preparation for its upcoming EGENCO integrated Information Management System (EgIMS).

Speaking during the opening ceremony, EGENCO’s Director of Planning & Development, Dr. Gregory Gamula highlighted the significance of the EgMIS.

“The new system will bring efficiency leading to enhanced productivity and decision-making. Said Gamula.

Echoing Gamula’s sentiments, EGENCO’s Director of Human Resources Management and also Chairperson of the EgMIS Training and Capacity Building Workgroup, Alexander Dzimba, said the new system is in line with EGENCO’s strategic plan of improving its business processes.

The training, which lasts for five days, is being conducted by Rydberg Starck and Vision IT at the National Bank of Malawi Leadership and Growth Centre.
